Dr. Dimitriu is one of THE BEST in the field — a kind, compassionate, innovative, and forward-thinking double board-certified psychiatrist and sleep specialist. I have been blessed to work with him over the years and would highly recommend him and his knowledgeable staff to anyone struggling with mental health, skeptical of psychiatry, or hesitant about medication. Our dad has been seeing Dr Alex (as we call him) for many years. He is very approachable, thorough, and is always a call, text, or email away and returns them very promptly. When dad was in the hospital at Stanford last year, Dr Alex made it a point to check in on him while there and after he returned home. He truly cares about his patients. There was a point where we and dad were losing hope, but Dr Alex never did. He encouraged and listened not only to dad, but the rest of us too, which is not easy since we are a large, stubborn Italian family.
